November Part 6: Decorating the Tree

Now we bring you the annual Saville Decking of the Halls. 

First up, the annual wearing of the Christmas Tree Skirt. 

Michael starts out the event, striking an ordinary pose

but wait! Are those his pants down around his ankles? 

Oh dear, that was a surprise twist. What madness! 

Now Rachel steps up to the tree, also starting out with a classic pose...

Now she throw in a little spirit and choreography. 

The classic twirl--you can never go wrong with this one. 

Starting to get a little Rockette-esque. 

Very nicely executed. 

And ending with a bit of sass. 

But wait folks, that's not all. Now, the skirt is a cape! 

Marvelously done!

Oh, but Michael is back for one more antic. It's the "Please, Sir, Can I have some more." We haven't seen that one since 1838. Michael is pulling out all the stops on this one. 

Next is Gabe. Looks like he's going with the Scottish boxer, always a safe play. 

Next up, we have Brian, starting with the dignified Cape Pose. 

He goes for the elevated Dignified Cape Pose by bringing in the stool. 

Then he busts out the Benevolent Ruler. 

But wait, what's this? A team showing?! We have a matador and his reindeer! 

It's incredible! Wow, what a showing! 

Last up, we have Devri. Looks like she's channeling a Hallmark movie with the double Christmas plaids here. 

Ah yes, the back kick. 

Busting a move from her showgirl days with the butt pop. 

Ending with the twirl. 

Now with the Christmas half Apron

And finally, the Christmas Pinafore Dickens Minuet! 

What an excellent showing this year. And now, for the placement of the skirt beneath the tree by Brian and Gabe. 

Next up in the festivities, the reenactment of the kids first Christmas photo on their ornaments. Well done, you three. 

And would it be decorating the tree if we didn't take a selfie with the Ornament that Michael and Kristina made for us back in 2008 and then send it to them? I submit that it would not! 

New this year: Compare hand sizes to the snowman handprint ornament. Michael shows the biggest change from his second grade hand print until now. We are all so shocked. 

Here's Rachel with hers. Not as impressive, but still devastating in her own way. 

All finished. Time for a selfie in front of the tree. 

Then Mom remembered she has a timer on her apple watch, and we try again. 

Now that's the one for our 2025 ornament! What a day! What a season! Way to deck those halls, Savilles!!!
