In the middle of Labor Day weekend, AKA when we tore apart my childhood home, I took family pictures for Emily and Pete, and while I was waiting for them all to be ready for pictures, Rachel helped me do some quick location scouting and settings check:

We found a lot of random stuff in the house...like this arrow. One night, when Chelsea and I were packing up my mom's office back in August, I found this arrow, it was late, and, well, let's just say we had a good laugh pretending to be shot with it. I found it again over Labor Day and had to take a picture to send to Chelsea, since she couldn't make it.
My grandpa soon learned that he couldn't leave the keys to his golf cart in the ignition with these two trouble makers around:
Gabe took one of the very last baths in this tub. It was our only bathroom growing up. Oh the stories it could tell...
My neighbor up the street has a really cool fairy garden, and she invited a bunch of the neighborhood girls to her house for a tour, some snacks, and a cute fairy craft. Rachel loved it!
I experimented with some funky braids.
We ate out, and Gabe really enjoyed his ice cream.
Gabe and Gracie--they are the best of frienemies.
We played hard and crashed harder.
Of course, seeing how this is Michael asleep on the floor, I'm inclined to think that we got some kind of bug at our house.
Michael is either helping to bake something or doing dishes. Not really sure.
Haircuts! They happen sometimes around here.
We put Gabe in the stroller at soccer games to keep him from being crazy and running onto the field. He helped by pushing it into position.
We finished up the soccer season. Joy was our coach again, and we love her.
Gabe discovered this bear puzzle. Yay for being interested in actual toys instead of all my stuff!
Our trips to Idaho led to us getting Gabe a tablet too, so each kid has their own tablet and headphones to watch movies or play games.
The kids love all the wide spaces and two swing-sets at their disposal, one at my grandparents' and one at my parents' house.
My grandparents' renters have a pony, and he was nice enough to let the kids take a ride.
And demo continued.
As did grandparent snuggles.
There's always laundry to do, isn't there?
And stuff outdoors...if I only I could remember where this was!
Gracie finally met Zoey, Lea's dog.
We went to church and tried to...lay on the floor like a tired toddler.
Fun fact: I don't like drying dishes with towels. It kind of grosses me out thinking about the extra germs spreading around. And I'm really terrible at putting dishes away after they're done drying. I'm really good at stacking pans. This particular stack was in the dishwasher and hadn't completely dried. Brian was impressed with my stacking skills. I've had LOTS of practice. I will always find a way to make it all fit and not have to get out a towel.
We found our burger place in Salt Lake County. Now we just need to eat there.
I got a jump start on Halloween Costumes. Rachel needed this bat costume for her dance recital.
My friend Tali and her new husband Eric gave me a gift card to the movie theater and to Log Haven as a thank you for shooting their wedding in June. So, I made Brian take me to Little Women before we headed up into the mountains to eat at Log Haven. I enjoyed the movie
and the food at Log Haven was AMAZING!
We tried bison and elk. Both were tasty. Now we just have to save our pennies to eat there again!
(Now, we can all take a moment and cheer that I finished September 2018's blog posts BEFORE September 2019?! Barely, but I still did it...with a month to spare.)
