On July 1, our new friend Victor (only our friend because he works for the company we hired to do our bathroom, and we saw him a lot after that), came and tore apart our master bathroom. It was most exciting; we were over our travertine shower!
He took the wall down to the studs where the tub and shower were.
He removed the floorin and the toilet.
We got a new tub and a new vanity.
And a whole new shower layout, this time bigger.
We also replaced the countertops in our other upstairs bathrooms with quartz.
We had some difficulties with the company that they contracted with to install our quartz, and this is what our bathroom looked like at the end of July.
One day in July, we made it to the gas station with only 3 miles left in the tank. Phew!
There was some car napping.
And more cousins to see.
We painted Chelsea's kitchen cabinets
We put our kids to bed so that we could finish as much as we could before leaving this mess to Chelsea.
We napped.
We laughed.
We cried. We sighed (and Brian's siblings made this really nice book of pictures of my dad for me. It was so sweet, and I'll forever cherish it).
We were silly.
We played at the park.
We went for a walk.
We read.
We flew?
We smiled.
We sang.
We had dear friends (Kristina and company) visit.
We relaxed.
We went out to eat. We grieved. We snuggled in blankets.
We explored Kiwi Crates.
We hugged.
We loved.
Some of us may have done yoga (to their parents' shame [a joke for any of you paying attention to our Christmas cards]).
One of us made soap.We apologized (thanks for the sign, Mom!)
We made our beds.
We took silly quizzes.
We found a snail migration.
We kept learning and trying.
We read some more.
We practiced Speech.
And last of all, we survived and somehow even thrived.
