October 2021 Part 6: Fall Break Day 4 Redwoods

We drove 2 ish hours to California and the  Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.

There just aren't enough words. It was beautiful and therapeutic. The kids loved exploring this incredible forest.

These redwoods are coastal redwoods, so they are known for being very tall. I was expecting the really big, fat redwoods (the sequoias), but these guys were still really spectacular. We kept making jokes about being on Endor.

Even though they weren't sequoias, they were still pretty big.

All too soon, it was time to head on to the next adventure. We grabbed some lunch in the car and shared some water bottles with some random strangers who were thirsty, and then we headed back to Oregon and the beach!
