We had a wonderful Christmas. We did a lot of hands-on presents and things, which kept us busy most of the month, but we were able to get all our presents finished and wrapped with several days to spare. Each year, we take a picture in front of the tree for our yearly Christmas ornament. The last few years, we actually took a little break from this tradition and used pictures with Santa that Adobe provided. This year, we didn't have time to make the Santa pictures happen, and we were too lazy to bust out the nice camera and tripod, so we did selfies:
I know we must have done Christmas and birthdays with the Savilles, but I didn't take any pictures, apparently. There was presents, food, cake, and fun, and we just enjoyed it all and didn't take pictures. The kids got more magnet builder things from Nana and Papa,
And I'm guessing that Michael got this model airplane. Again, things are fuzzy because it's been almost 9 months since this happened.
This year, we hosted Christmas at our house. Grandma & Grandpa Chadwick arrived on Christmas Eve, as well as Taryn and David. Books were read:
And we put on a little living Nativity
While Grandma read, "This is the Stable."
There were a few mishaps with the actors.
Some were divas and refused to participate fully--looking at you, Gabe.
We got our traditional Christmas Jammies:
And so did Taryn and David's family. I can't remember if Ethan got new jammies or not, but he got in the picture anyway, which was cool of him.
I love how Aaron and Elijah are trying to be a part of our family. Ha ha! (Just kidding, Taryn).

We decided that next time we are all together for Christmas, we're just going to let the kids take turns opening, and then let the adults open presents. With all those people, it was just too hard! And we made Ethan get up, and it was a bit torturous for him. Gabe got so tired of the whole thing by the middle.
But he LOVED his new scooter. And his clothes. And everything else was just okay. He's not really into toys, so he's tough to shop for.
Gracie sort of liked her new bed.
Rachel got her very first Lego set.
She got lots of help from Dad and Uncle David
and Papa.
Cal and Cassidy made it to our house for Christmas Dinner.
I had made Grandma Linville's traditional pastry for Christmas Eve. Here I am sneaking a piece in the middle of dinner preparations. It's my FAVORITE!
Nana and Papa joined us for dinner: Prime Rib! It was my first attempt to ever make it, and thinking about how it turned out is making my mouth water...It was SO good (even if I do say so myself!) We had so much yummy food, great company, and again, I just enjoyed it and didn't take a picture of the amazing Christmas Feast.
