June 2021 Part 7: The In Between

 June in in Utah is usually quite glorious, and 2021 was no exception. Our days were filled with plenty of time outdoors, and we loved having our big yard to enjoy. 

Brian and I finally got to participate in the Parade of Homes, and we LOVED seeing all the houses. We made it to every single one, and we got lots of ideas for things we can do at our house. Unfortunately, we kind of freaked the kids out when we told them that we were leaving to go look at houses. "What?! NO! I don't want to move again!" After assuring them that these homes we were looking at weren't for sale, they were mostly okay with us taking off multiple nights throughout June. 

We attended my nephew Aaron's baptism, and I made two pans of Mississippi Mud to take. For some reason, we took a picture of the brownies but not any of my family and not any of Aaron.

We took time to be fancy. 

We did yard work. 

We admired birds, displayed birds, and made birds. 

Since I was awarded Best Bubble Braider at camp, I had to come home and use my new skills on Rachel's hair. 

Michael smiled. And actually posed for a pictures. 

We somehow made it to the second anniversary of Dad's death, and it was much easier this time around. 

We commemorated the day with some bereavement nachos from Costa Vida. 

We went to church without masks. Was this the month classes resumed again? We felt almost normal again, and it was glorious. 

We bought lady bugs to release into our yard. 

We did some grocery shopping in an actual store, and we had groceries delivered to the house. 

And Brian and I went to more Utah Valley Parade of Homes homes. 

There was time for playing. 

There was time for getting hair done. 

We celebrated Brian on Father's Day, and we hosted his family for dinner. Lacey was there and even helped us make three different kinds of enchiladas, including a gluten free, dairy free, sugar free variety. The enchiladas were amazing, the company incredible, and the only picture I have is of Brian opening the shirt I made for him. 

Michael had a goldfish, but (spoiler alert), he didn't last very long. He got it from school, and we got him a sweet tank for them. 

We also got a few tetras to keep the goldfish company. 

I spent a lot of time editing Christi's wedding photos. This was one of my favorites. 

We played some games on the deck while our vents got cleaned since it was super noisy in the house. 

And we wrapped up June completely excited for the upcoming best holiday of the summer.
