March Part 4: One Saturday

The day after Jen's wedding, March 28, was a busy day, and thus it merited its own post. Michael had a 7v7 football tournament, and his team ended up doing pretty well. I think he played 6 games, and Brian and I were there to watch 5 of them. 

Gabe had a flag football game, which we also went to, and we ended the evening with Michael's flag football game. That means we went to 7 football games this day. This season, Danny was on his team, so we got to see Lea and Shayne at the game. 

We got sunburned at Gabe's flag football game; I'm sure you can't tell. 

Danny and Michael weren't terribly impressed with their team, but they enjoyed getting to play together. 

Brian and I went straight from Michael's flag game to the Traditions Ball at BYU. Right out of the gate, we got a picture with Cosmo! 

And then we got a BYU brownie. 

We visited the gazebo, where Brian asked me to marry him, and I made sure to tell him that knowing everything I know now, I would absolutely still say yes. 

We danced around this elderly couple that comes every year. They're basically celebrities, as far as we're concerned. 

Cosmo has obviously had some work done over the years, and nobody is sad about it. 

Do you like my pink opera gloves? Fun fact about my dress: This was Chelsea's prom dress from high school. It was a bit snug, but it was fun that it fit. This dress deserved another night out on the town after being in a bag for two decades. I would have worn my Junior Miss formal, but it needed some repairs on the fragile overlay, and I didn't have time to make that happen. I'm going to fix it up and find another occasion to wear it. 

This year, when they delivered the photos from the ball, somebody messed up and delivered some of them in raw files, which gave me the perfect opportunity to fix our sunburns. Here's what we would have looked like had we applied sunscreen during Gabe's game. It also shows that the skirt on the dress is a deep green, not black like the bodice. My mom did a stellar job making this dress. 

It was a busy Saturday, but a fun one. I think we might have even got a few projects done around the house before Gabe's game.
