February was a rush of projects, planning, and trips in addition to our regular daily lives. I painted these tulip motifs on Rachel's ears for her Anna Disneybound, and though there are a lot of imperfections, I thought they turned out pretty good.
Gabe didn't want to be left out of all our Disney planning, and so he found this Tron loungefly for our upcoming October trip with cousins.
One of our boys wanted to go to the church and play basketball for their activity. Here's a few pictures of the shenanigans that happened when we weren't actively playing. This picture gives me a bit of anxiety because I'm worried those doors are going to squeeze his head.

We had our traditional Ground Hog's Day indoor picnic.
Rachel's hair always looks so good after she uses her heatless curlers, so I decided to get one to try out. Here we are after she taught me how to use it.
Every night after dinner, Michael migrates to this chair while the rest of us finish eating, and then he gets Gracie to sit with him while we read/study scriptures together near the end of dinner.
They managed to get another ski/board day, maybe at Brighton, but possibly Snowbasin.
Michael and Brian worked together in the shop. Brian hasn't been able to for awhile due to his wrists, but he was excited to feel good enough to get out there again.
We had a superbowl party at Nana and Papa's house. We brought stuff for a Charcuterie board, as well as Nachos.
We also baked some cookies.
Julie and I mostly worked on quilts together. Kirt said it was his very first Superbowl party. I'm not sure if Gabe actually watched the Superbowl or if he turned something else on downstairs.
Rachel hosted a little Galentines' Day party with her friends.
Papa and Nana knew we were headed out of town on Valentine's day, and so they sent us cookies early! They were so good, and we always feel so spoiled to get cookies from them delivered on Valentine's Day!
This may be one of the sexiest pictures of Brian that I've ever taken.

As mentioned in our last post, Brian spent Valentine's Day ski-boarding with our boys and Shayne and Amos. I spent the day with my mom and Rachel. Neither of us were bothered. Brian bought me these flowers the following Tuesday. They're random Tuesday flowers.
We got a snowstorm in February, and I thought that winter might have finally arrived.
The excitement was in the air! Unfortunately, it melted not too long after.

In the middle of making quilt tops, my sewing machine just up and quit. Brian tried to fix it, but had no success. We decided that maybe it was time for a new machine.
Brian and I went on a date the Friday after Valentine's Day to the Harvest Restaurant and took advantage of their Valentine's decorations for a belated Valentine's Day photo.
We saw some beautiful sunsets. Why does it seem like the most beautiful ones are the ones we see in parking lots?
I took a seminary teaching seminar at UVU's institute of religion. I thought it might be time to pursue something I'd started my last year at BYU. To progress further after the seminar, I needed a really good teaching demo.
Stress and my busy schedule led to a disappointing teaching video. I knew it wasn't good enough when I sent it in, and I had that verified in April when I received the email officially letting me know I wasn't being invited to continue. There were tears and insecurities, but I wasn't sure if I had the time and energy to pursue teaching at this time anyway, so it is probably for the best.
Like all months, February had lots of highs and lows, but at the end of the month, our hearts were full of gratitude for this little family of ours and the many blessings in our life.
