October 2022 Part 10: Halloween

Finally, after months of preparations, it was Halloween!!! First order of business, the Halloween Parade at the Elementary School.

And at home:

(Not really; Michael didn't want to dress up this year).

Rachel came home with the scariest/coolest treat from her school class Halloween party: a fake (and edible) blood vial.
Our neighbor down the street let us borrow his new bow and arrow for a picture, and even took a picture for us.

And then another one.

And somewhere in there, we busted out the tripod for some photos with my nice camera.

I also took it off the tripod for some. Can you guess which ones?

Presenting the Saville Avengers:

Wanda Maximoff (in the universe where she doesn't become the villain)

Spiderman (who will always have a way home.

Hawkeye (but only for this picture. He's a team player, after all).

And Mighty Thor and Thor.

Though you can't really tell in this picture, Brian got his animatronic coffin to work, and we put a speaker in there to play the part on the Haunted Mansion where you hear the guy say, "Let me out of here!" It was pretty cool.

Brian and I took turns taking Gabe and Rachel around trick-or-treating.

I decided that we need to be better about trick-or-treating with friends. Gabe saw one of his buddies out and about and joined up with them. Rachel was stuck with us all night while she watched some of her friends trick-or-treating together.

This sign on the candy bowl is the best!
Michael went for a little bit with his friends and then brought some back to our house to watch a movie. We convinced them to watch the "Blink" episode of Dr. Who and they were all creeped out!

We were both sad and relieved to see Halloween go. I left all the decorations up for one more day, but it all came down on November 2. See you soon, Halloween. We're already making plans and throwing out ideas.
