This move was basically initiated by me, but Brian has been the one that has kept this whole thing rolling when I've been completely overwhelmed by so many decisions. In the middle of all the craziness of finishing our basement, putting in our yard, and even doing a small renovation project, we celebrated his birthday.
I still have all my gift wrapping stuff in boxes, so we reused these same bags.
Our birthday date involved going shopping. I know we were at Lowes because I saw this at Lowes and got really excited about Christmas. That's how cool I am--we went to Lowes as part of his birthday date.
I made him his favorite cake.
We let Michael light the candles.
It was delicious cake, and we had huckleberry pie ice cream.
We might have gotten Thai food for dinner because we waited too long to order Olive Garden. But, once again, I don't remember.
Rachel made this cute card for him.
Can I just say that Brian is the most incredible guy I have ever met, and I still sometimes think about when I first met him, when we were friends Freshmen year, when we first started hanging out after my mission, and I still can't believe he ever fell for me. I have nightmares where he didn't end up marrying me, and I'm so glad to wake up and hear his breathing next to me. I'm so glad that he was born, so glad he's my best friend, sweetheart, and husband.
