On June 5, Brian officially gave Gabe his name and a special blessing. We were so happy to have so many friends and family make it to our 8:30 a.m. Sacrament meeting! I love hearing these special blessings, and I love hearing the extra thoughts Brian had while he was giving the blessing...things that he couldn't quite articulate as he was giving the blessing. These precious little people arrive in our home and hearts and the only communication we have at first is feelings expressed soul to soul. The veil between this life and the one previous to this one is so very thin, and if feels like if you squint just right, you'd be able to see heaven.
Gabriel Chadwick Saville was blessed to have all his surviving grandparents with him that day, including one set of great-grandparents:
3 generations of Saville boys:And I'm so happy to have a boy that carries my name and my dad's name, Chadwick.
He has a lot to live up to between his three names!
Gabe has such a calm, sweet soul, and we just soak it all up everyday.
He's normally so chill and sweet, unlike this picture shows where he was super grumpy for some unknown reason. I guess that's just life, right?
Since church was so early, we served brunch at our house afterwards.
It must have been a hit because there weren't many leftovers :)
I loved having my house full of family. My parents came on Friday, and Taryn, Chelsea, and Ethan came on Saturday night. After brunch, my siblings and parents hung around long enough for a couple of rounds of Time's Up, which is becoming a favorite of everyone. We had lots of laughs before everyone headed back to their homes.
When the house was quiet, I took some pictures of Gabe in his special tux made by my Grandma.
And I got Michael to take a couple pictures of the two of us:
We're so so grateful for this little man in our family, and we're so excited to see the kind of person he will become.
