Since last St. Patrick's Day, Michael has been asking when that little guy comes and trashes our house. Apparently, last year's shenanigans left an impression on him. This year, Brian and I were pretty tired on the night of the 16th, and I was tempted to do nothing, even though I had already purchased coins and stuff weeks before that time. But, I knew that last time had left an impression, and I'm trying to make everyday special, so we tiredly rearranged some furniture:
Threw some necklaces on the ceiling fan:
And made a rainbow out of curling ribbon that went from the office, over the partial wall and into the living room, where we tied it to the pot of gold hiding in the cedar chest. We were too tired to take a picture of our rainbow, and it was destroyed by the time we got up the next morning. We also left an empty present in the middle of the floor with a note that said, "Made you look." Brian and I got a kick out of that one. Michael didn't get it. He did get a kick out of this note attached to his picture from Preschool.
For dinner, we had green pancakes. The kids love pancakes.
Michael told all of his friends about how the leprechaun visited our house and the funny things that he did to our furniture. Rachel and Michael ate most of the chocolate coins by the time dinner rolled around. It was a successful day!
