December 2023 Part 4: Christmas Eve

At Brian's team Christmas dinner, we played Christmas Carols on pipes, and it was so fun, we thought we should make a set to play with the Savilles on Christmas Eve. So, even though we didn't really have time, Brian made time to make these pipes:
and then we forgot to bring them with us to our Christmas Eve party. Whoops!

We acted out the Nativity to "This is the Stable"
watched the Christmas Story from the Church's Bible Videos. We also took turns pointing out things on the Christmas tree that are symbolic of Jesus and/or His Gospel, which is one of my favorite Saville traditions. And we read the Christmas story together.
Love, cheer, and harmony abounded everywhere.
We even had an edible Christmas Craft (Thanks Jenny!)

I made Grandma's pastry (because it's tradition).
Rachel got a green nose.
We found out that Brian passed Ben in height.
Then, we went home and opened our Christmas Eve presents. It was an excited, frenzied, race.

Everyone liked the pants from last year so much that I decided to order them again--thank you, Target! I ordered an extra pair to create pockets for Brian, myself, and Michael. Our shirts this year were inspired by the Disney Snack shirts, so everyone's shirt says, "I'm here for the ------(Insert snack here).

Michael: I'm here for the Popcorn
Rachel: I'm here for the Cookies
Gabe: I'm here for the Costa Vida
Me: I'm here for the Candy
Brian: I'm hear for the Peanut Butter.

It was a wonderful Christmas Eve. We went to bed with visions of sugar plums (well, Christmas presents) dancing in our heads.
