January 2020 Part 5: Rachel's Birthday

Despite my begging her not to do it, Rachel turned 7 in January. Here's the last picture we have of 6-year-old Rachel.
While Rachel was at school, I made and decorated her cake with Frozen 2 inspiration:

Decorating cakes is still not my forte, but I was pretty proud of how this turned out. There's a bit of a gradient with the frosting--it goes lavender to blue. And I even wrote out her name and drew snowflakes.

Rachel wanted to go to Chubby's for her birthday, and we happily acquiesced. After dinner, she got to open her presents.

After dinner and presents, we came home for Ice Cream and Cake!

Here's Rachel wearing her new hoodie that she picked out with Grandma back in Idaho, and her doll is modeling her new dress.
After dinner and cake, we had to rush her off to dance! It was a pretty busy day!!

It was a date-with-Mom-and-Dad year, and Rachel decided to eat at Chuck-a-Rama and go to "Swan Lake" at BYU.

Several "swans" were in the lobby before the show for pictures. They also handed out treats to the young audience members.

We all really enjoyed the performance, and we especially loved hanging out with our favorite daughter.

Here's Rachel wearing her new outfit that matches her doll Camille's.

Our sweet Rachel loves to perform, has a heart of gold, loves writing sweet notes to her friends and siblings, and can't get enough time with her friends. She still loves Disney Princesses, coloring, and is starting to be interested in combing her own hair. We're so grateful for our sweet girl, and we're so glad that we have her in our lives. I can't even tell you how many times I've said, "Oh, I'm so glad we have Rachel! She's going to take such good care of us when we're old!" She brings so much sunshine into our lives, and we can't imagine life without her!
