My parents rolled into town around 9 p.m. on February 2. (I'll explain why in another post). I'm sure I've mentioned before that my mom LOVES volleyball, so when they come down here during volleyball season, they try to go see a match. Cal heard that she was planning on going to the game, and since he loves men's volleyball, he wanted to come to the game too. So, my parents got 7 tickets: 2 for them, 2 for Cal and Cassidy, my brother's awesome fiance, and 3 for us so that Michael could go to the game on Friday, February 3.
It was an intense match--they played UCLA, a conference rival and #2 team in the country. BYU was ranked #4 in the country at the time of the match. BYU led the first 2 sets, but then UCLA trashed them in the 3rd, won the 4th, and then it went to a tight, well fought 5th set, which BYU won. The volleys between these two teams were awesome!
A man sitting behind us gave Michael this foam hand. I thought that was pretty cool of him:
It was fun to hang out with Cal and Cassidy--something we don't get to do very often.
