In November, I reminded myself that I have been blessed with incredible friends. They may not all live in my neighborhood, but they are loyal and wonderful to me and Brian. I got to meet up with Camille, one of my college roommates, in Salt Lake for lunch, and it was wonderful to see her and catch up. We were dismayed to realize just how long it had been since we last saw each other. It had been too long (and we're already due for another visit).
Along with my committee of one, I threw another ward party right after church a Sunday before Thanksgiving. We had more sides than main courses, and the kids went through and dished too much and threw too much away, and the people at the end didn't get food (I was one of those people), but the turn out was really good and we got to meet lots of new people, so I'm still counting it as a success. The best was how impressed the Bishopric was with the invitations ("They look like the ones the Relief Society does!"). So many people were so great about pitching in with set up and clean up, which made things really easy for us.
