In other July news,
Gabe officially became Saville certified riding a bike on only two wheels.
Rachel continued in her love for onion rings when we grabbed some lunch at Johnny Rockets while picking up a few things at the Outlets.
Brian finally put the long awaited theater bar together.
And secured it to the platform.
(It's so high we eventually gave up looking for stools to go under it.)
I got a mirror for Michael, and Gabe discovered some exciting things inside his mouth.
We stretched. Please note that we did NOT do yoga!
I finally bought one of these mats from IKEA. Everyone loves it. I should have got one years ago.
We finally stained these two stools that we commission my Grandpa Linville to make for us. Don't worry, everyone, he knew we were going to stain them. It was part of the deal. We didn't break some code or anything by not going with the traditional natural finish.
I finished editing Christi's wedding pictures, and Gracie continued to be my lazy co-worker.
It wouldn't be our house if there weren't some battle going on, and July was no exception.
Gracie git recruited for playin dress up.
And it looks like she would have preferred being asked to play on the Switch instead.
Poor Gracie never gets to play on the Switch.
I subbed for the district office for a few days during July. I love this statue that they have there. It's a beautiful reminder about why the district does what it does. It's all for the beautiful children in our community.
Brian's mission president lives in our Stake, and his ward actually meets in the same church building that we do. He invited us over for dinner one night in July, and we found this when we went to knock on their door.
Also, they have this amazing doormat.
President and Sister Smith completely spoiled our family that night! The food was so good, and Sister Smith even pulled Michael out of his shell (right after he showed up to the house incredibly grouchy about having to be there.) They weren't offended by a teenage mood, and made him feel so important. It's so fun that they live close!
We actually kind of crashed the dinner. Brandon Finenco, an elder that served with Brian, was in town and the dinner was originally set up for his family, and we got invited as well. We're so glad we got to crash the party!
We finally found rugs that we liked for our deck but I couldn't find a smaller one that matched it except for this one on display. It was so filthy and gross, but I figured we could clean it up. I got the workers to sell it to me for half price. We took it home and it did clean up really nicely!
We also decided our kitchen rugs could stand a cleaning. Here's a before and after. The rug on top is before and the one on the bottom is after!
Also, in July, we made our beds. Maybe not everyday, but it is something we're always trying to do.
I got a cherry pie for my birthday at some point. This one was so delicious.
I got gift baskets put together for two family sessions that I had during July and August.
Their daughter Elsie got baptized in July, and we got to go! It was so fun seeing a few people from our last neighborhood as well as support Elsie on her big day.
The day after we got back from Swim Camp was Pioneer Day, and Brian took all the kids to our ward breakfast and parade while I slept.
The kids discovered this creature on our house and used my ipad to do a photo session without my authorization. I forgave them though because this is a pretty cool bug.
Our trees and garden grew more. Brian and the kids planted some flowers Mother's Day, and they were really starting to look good by July.
Brian did Rachel's hair on the 25th since I was out of commission with my cold.
And Gracie found refuge from it all under my bed.
