I turned 35 last July! Woo hoo! We spread the festivities over a couple of days because why wouldn't you? First, date night with Brian on the third. We ate at a taco place in Traverse Mountain, and they had specialized guacamole, which Brian tried and even liked! There's hope! This was a strawberry guac, and it was really good!
Covid makes things tough, so I'm sure we went shopping after dinner, but we enjoyed coming home over the mountain through Suncrest after being in Salt Lake County. The views were spectacular.
The next day was the fourth, and there was the balance between celebrating the holiday properly and celebrating my birthday. So we decided to hit up the pool. The kids and Brian swam while I read a book. It was fantastic! For dinner, we ordered food from R&R Barbeque.
Instead of cake, Brian got me a berry pie, which was much better. And since candles are for people who don't share their birthday with the country, I had sparklers on top!
And we lit more sparklers just for fun.
It was so good, y'all!
We put the kids in bed and watched the fireworks from our office window. We got quite a show!
On Monday, Jen and I went out for pedicures and lunch.
We ate at the Draper Charleston, and it was fancy AND had outdoor seating...a huge win!
I don't remember if we ever got together to celebrate Papa's birthday on the 5th. We usually do, but I think we may have missed it because of Covid, but I honestly just don't even remember. Regardless, we both turned a year older, got presents, and enjoyed good health, which I suppose is what matters.
