Being the crazy Disneyland obsessed girl that I am, I was so overjoyed happy to have received a Disneyland ticket for Christmas. Yup. It's Rachel this time. Time went very fast, and soon, I was in the car taking as many pictures as humanly possible, because I had a smaller and easier phone am my mother's daughter.
I was sad to leave dad, Gabe and Michael (who is obviously invisible in this photo) but I was more happy about the trip. Sorry, not sorry.
After sitting around for an hour, we got on the plane to sit around for another hour and a half, but actually going somewhere this time.
"This is Soarin' to tower, we are ready for takeoff." We were moved to the emergency exit row to help a separated family. After moving us to help the family be able to sit together, the attendant found out that you have to be 16 or older, not 13 or older to sit there, so they moved us to the one of the
peasant rows regular rows in front of us.
For being in Orange county, don't expect the sign to be orange. It's a common misconception.
Oh how I missed the palm trees and just needed to take ANOTHER picture!
In our alien hair in our heatless curlers, ready for the next day!
Our plan was originally to head to Matterhorn. But we had to settle for... actually, we achieved our original plan. This is me, probably multitasking while power-walking.
Ahhh... Mainstreet U.S.A.
I think we got on the ride about 3 minutes after rope drop. This is our victory selfie.
After going on Matterhorn twice, we made our way around Fantasyland. This is us about to hop on a one way runaway car to H*ll.
Me: mustering my strength to spin the cup
Mom: mustering her abilities to not get motion sick
Dad had to painfully think of us. Well, I assume it must be painful to not be at Disneyland while we were having a blast. (He wore his Disney ring in solidarity with us).
We headed to Space Mountain, then got some brunch? Second breakfast? Early lunch? Either way, the breakfast burrito was so good and delicious!
Castle picture! (Notice the outfits that got us VIP perks)
Here we are, headed for disaster on Big Thunder Mountain.
Then we went on Pirates, and our ears started glowing.
Then we stopped for Beignets and Mint Juleps.
Then went to Haunted Mansion!
Now having my own account, I proudly signed us into our lightning lane, with a lot of excitement, I might add.
Now a Monte Cristo! (So! Good!)
We stopped for some photos in Galaxy's Edge. Although, Rise of the Resistance was unfortunately closed for refurbs.
Chewie, leaving his tiring and towering post. (We did not have very good luck with characters this time)
Although, we enjoy watching people roasting the stormtrooper we saw.
Eventually, we left the thrill of spaceships to savor the thrill of singing dolls.
We went on Casey Jr. This is around when we went in the 25 minute wait for Peter Pan's Flight. We had just gotten in line when a cast member told us to come with her, and she told us she loved our outfits. She took us through the exit, and we walked onto Peter Pan! It made our day!
After that, we got a Macaron, and started heading out of the park to California Adventure. Mom wanted to get one last picture, and I agreed to it. The man that was taking pictures said, "PLEASE tell me you got a picture in front of the Haunted Mansion!" We told him we had taken a selfie, and he asked if we were coming or going from the park (we were at the end of Main Street closest to the gates). We told him we were leaving, and he asked if we'd be willing to walk back over to Haunted Mansion for an adventure. We agreed and we got to have a private a photoshoot with him in front of the Haunted Mansion!!! Apparently, this is what Mom had really wanted to do, because she had heard that park photographers could take you on a photo excursion. This was seriously the most magical day!
Notice the crypt is an upside down elephant. Most guests don't even see this little pet cemetery that is tucked behind the ride exit.
The photographer got a couple cast members to pose with us.
The cast members asked us if we had been on the Haunted Mansion today. We told them yes, and they asked if we wanted to ride again. We said "yes!", I mean, come on. This is the Savilles we're talking about. They took us to the very front of the line.
After and one last pirate ride, we left for DCA.
After Soarin' and what I very much assume was a long wait, we went on Toy Story Mania.
After (probably) some other rides and dinner from Cocina Cocimonga that there is no photo evidence of, we finished the day off with Radiator Springs Racers and a trip through the single rider line.
Feeling good about ourselves, we left, excited for the next day. We also went to World of Disney, where I got a necklace.
Yup, the next day. We rope dropped Radiator Springs Racers, and, I don't think I want to try this one again.
I knew the camera was coming, so I just made a face and stuck with it, so this is how it turned out.
I was so happy to get on Incredicoaster. It had been closed for refurbishment the day before, but opened up for us on this day, which was really lucky.
I'm still a shortie. Dang it.
We headed to Soarin', got some french toast sticks that were delicious, and I think we had a failed attempt at Spider Man, It closed while we were in line.
Eventually (not sure what other rides were in there) we headed to the other park. I believe we headed for Toon Town via Disneyland Railroad, rode Mickey and Minnie's, then stopped for food. We got a delicious barbecue brisket filled baked potato. We were not satisfied so we got yet another amazing baked potato.
We rode on Small World, and managed to meet everyone's favorite "practically perfect in every way" Nanny. We also caught the band in the background.
We headed to Matterhorn to see Harold the Yeti, using the single rider line. He wasn't too happy to see us, but he
is super grumpy all the time, so that was no surprise and no big deal.
We went on Big Thunder, then got Dole Whip, where I'm guessing we rode Jungle Cruise.
We stopped for a picture at the castle (running into Belle and Gaston, who was so funny, in the process) and I watched the last bit of Beauty and the Beast at the Royal Theater while Mom waited in line for pictures. It was funny to see. I took a picture to check to make sure I looked good for the picture.
Here are a couple of those award winning photos.
Try the Grey Stuff (It's Delicious!) If you don't believe me, (you're insane and that sounds like a you problem). I'm just kidding, I probably wouldn't judge you for not liking this stuff.
I think I signed us into this here Lightning Lane on Space Mountain. I think it was a Lightning Lane.
Ah, yes. The sweet sensation of flying through space. I think I'm seeing stars. Too bad the rest of the people don't feel the same way.
We headed back to DCA where I rode Guardians twice with a Lightning Lane (I used Mom's). Mom was very cold, and decided to get a sweatshirt. Here she is modeling it while I scream her name at the top of my lungs when the doors open.
We got some really good cream puffs, and I got a classic churro.
We rode on Spider Man, then had another fantastic race.
We went to the other park again and rode on Big Thunder, maybe Indiana Jones, but got food at Bengal Barbecue. My feet were hurting, blistering and itching, so Mom ran to find some flip flops to have a fresh pair of shoes that would be less painful. So I bandaid-ed my feet while Mom went to Main Street.
My new flip flops, actually the same pair my Mom bought at Disneyland a few years ago when her shoes were bothering her.
We rode Haunted Mansion then we headed to Tiana's and rode it a couple of times.
Singing in the shower! (Notice the shower caps.)
We closed off the day with Big Thunder and got on the ride right at park closing.
I was sad to go, but did want to get some sleep.
How am I just noticing these two pictures look exactly the same except for the location and extension of Mom's arm in the first one?
The next day, after rest and a little sleeping in, packed and ready to go.
We got food at the airport at Ruby's, which was really good.
On the plane, which I did not really want to get on, but you can't have everything, you know?
Thanks so much Mom and Dad for giving me this trip. It was so fun and I can't wait to go again... with my cousins this Fall!
