St. Patrick's Day

Our Leprechaun Darby struck again this year! Although, truth be told, he did feel a little reluctant to trash our house after we finally got it put back together...but in the end, he couldn't resist. After all, he knows how much the kids get a kick out of his shenanigans.

He left a decoy pot in the middle of that chair mess...
The real pot was under the rainbow though. It took the kids a bit to find it.

He left all kinds of punny notes. He must be a dad.

He never leaves us real gold, but I'll take Hershey's gold nuggets any day!!
This year, we got the sweetest note from our kids. Best. St. Patty's Day. Ever!
We knew we'd be in Ogden for the evening, so we had our green meal for brunch. We're super original here: Green pancakes and usually green eggs too.
We went up to Ogden for the rest of the day to watch my niece, Heather's play. It tried to snap a picture of Rachel and Amber holding hands, but this was the best I got. They are such good friends. They're only 6 months apart, although judging by their heights, you would think there was more of a gap!
During the play, Dad took Gabe to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. I think he enjoyed that more than the play, even though you'd never know by his face!

It was another great St. Patty's Day, even though I didn't get to introduce my kids to Darby O'Gill and the Little People. Maybe next year?
