March 2021 Part 1: Aspire Dance Competition

On March 6, Rachel got to participate in her very first dance competition with her Turning Elite team. We're getting better and better at our make-up and hair routine, but it still takes us at least an hour. 

Her call time was a couple of hours before her actual performance, so she could get warmed up, review the dance, bond, and other important things. 

It's always fun watching her perform. She must have been nervous because she kept looking to the wings to see her coach.

They got to perform two dances, one to a cover of "Lean on Me" and the second one to "Live Your Life" by Mika. 

She even got to be the main girl in a lift. 

They did such a great job, and it's so fun watching them. They've improved so much since they performed this for us in December. I loved watching her up on stage during the awards presentation. They were so cute gathered together in a circle. I'm so glad she gets to be a part of a team. 

She was only allowed two in-person spectators, so it was just the three of us going out to celebrate such great performances. 

Rachel picked Chubby's for dinner, 

And we picked Brookers for ice cream afterwards. We brought some home for the boys though. 

We're so proud of our tiny dancer! I love seeing how much she's progressed!
