On Saturday, April 10, we finally made it to the beach! Serene said she was surprised we hadn't made it there yet. It was a little shocking, really. We love the beach!
We'd purchased these inexpensive boogie boards in preparation for this day. It was fun to finally be able to use them! (They weren't super good, but we still had fun trying to make them work).
There must have been a storm on the horizon because the water was rough and the waves strong. The wind was also blowing pretty hard.
We still had a blast, despite the less-than-ideal weather. I just love hanging out in the ocean. It invigorates and recharges me.
On Sunday, we had another down day in the condo. We had church services together. We sang a hymn, partook of the sacrament, I gave a lesson, and we even tuned into our old ward's virtual primary. It was nice to worship with friends.
The boys were really into making and flying paper airplanes. I think Michael was the ringleader on this.
We also discovered that somewhere along the lines, the boys broke the TV in their room. Not awesome, but thankfully they didn't charge us too much for the replacement.
It was a good thing we had already opted to hang out at the Condo because it dumped buckets full of rain nearly all day. It was amazing to watch! We also celebrated Gabe's birthday that day, but I'll talk about that in another post.
