June 2020 Part 1: Rachel's Recital

On June 2, Rachel was able to perform in her end of year showcase for her dance studio. We weren't sure if it would be possible with Covid, but they finally got the clear to go ahead with some big changes. They had to split up the studio into several smaller concerts. All were very short, and all had sparse audiences. We didn't get to pick our seats, and we had to wear a mask the entire time. I was also unable to escort her into the dressing room. There was a tunnel we had to drop her off in and pick her up. In all the excitement and weird protocols, her blue fleece jacket became a casualty. She went in with it, and she did not come out with it. Oh well.

Here are her professional shots in her costumes. First, her tap outfit:
And her jazz/lyrical outfit:
She performed her tap number first.

And then her jazz number.

Afterward, she did get strong accolades from her adoring fans.

We've loved this studio, but with the move, we decided to put her in a different one in Highland.  We really love watching our tiny dancer perform.
