On a cold evening in December, we headed to Thanksgiving Point to meet up with Kirt and Julie to see Luminaria! First stop on the way was the exotic gingerbread houses on display in one of their greenhouses.
And look who we found while we were there!
It was so fun seeing all the lights in the garden, even though it was a little chilly. Rachel hitched a ride with Papa for part of the way.
Luminaria is held in the Ashton Gardens, which also hosts an annual Tulip Festival. I guess that's why they had to have illuminated tulips on display.
Ah, the smell of tulips in December!
This was taken inside one of those pole/light displays made to look like a lit-up Christmas tree.
Gabe hitched a ride from Michael at one point.
When we reached a little concessions village, we tried some mini donuts and warmed up in the tent with some hot chocolate and listened to an a cappella group.
We got to see some of Santa's reindeer.
And so many beautiful lights.
Thank you, Kirt and Julie, for coming along, braving the cold, and helping us get into the holiday spirit.
