One fairly cold night, last December, Adobe hosted their annual holiday party, this time near the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City in the old Union Pacific building. We were both particularly excited about this party since it was 20s themed! We love a good themed party. We ate dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory
They had this special seasonal float thingy that sounded good, so I ordered it, something I rarely do. They were pretty excited to promote the free collector's glass that comes with it. I thought, "I hope I accidentally forget to take this home because I don't want to keep this thing." I felt bad intentionally leaving it because I have people-pleasing problems. We got a little silly waiting for our dinner.
And guess what? I legit forgot the glass. Not even on purpose. That was a very happy, guilt-free accident.
We made our way to the Gateway and parked in the North Garage.
We walked into the venue on red carpet that turned into a very exotic dress attached to a woman dressed in 20s period attire. It was over the top and ridiculous, and I loved it!
The twenties theme included a speak-easy kind of vibe. Very roaring twenties. We got to play roulette with provided chips and zero incentives to win anything. Still, it was fun to pretend.
This cute girl had to stand in this spot all night serving drinks...from her skirt.
Here I am enjoying some non-alcoholic something.
They also had "cigar girls" walking around with trays of Rolos with a cigar-like wrapping.
The best part of the evening (besides Brian), was the entertainment. They had a few different groups perform. One was this really funny juggler guy. He was very funny and really impressive. They also had a singing group that did twenties-style covers on modern songs from Madonna and others that I can't think of. They also had a dance group perform ballroom numbers. It was a ton of fun.
It was also fun to see a few Christmas lights downtown.
Thank you, Adobe, for another fun party!
