Every year on March 14, I end up on Facebook and see everyone's pie day posts, and I hit my forehead that I can never remember about pie day until it is too late. I LOVE pie--this has to be a day I celebrate each year. Well, this year, I finally remembered!! I made a chicken pot pie for dinner (and it was pretty amazing, by the way) and apple pie for dessert.
And, the leprechaun struck our house again on March 17. His shenanigans always make us laugh:
Cal and Cassidy were here, so Cassidy took a picture for us before we headed off to church.
And for whatever reason, we made dirt cups to celebrate. Not sure why, honestly. I think it's because we got recipes from Goofy when we went to Goofy's Kitchen, and dirt cups was one of the recipes and the kids wanted to try it?
Regardless, we had a good time celebrating Pie Day and St. Patrick's Day. It's all part of my quest to make each day special.
