March 2019 Part 5: A Slice of the Savillian Life

Let's start with Rachel. If you didn't know, this girl is literally made of sugar and spice and everything nice. I feel bad that sometimes I send her to a different part of the house because I can't handle how sweet and happy she is all the time! But, I am grateful everyday when I tuck her in that she is my daughter and the one who will be taking care of me when I'm old. Most of the time, I can't get enough of her, hence all these pictures, in the same dress, in the same place. Could you only choose one? Believe it or not, I even trimmed it down.

We tried pin curls in her hair when we had to be up early the next day to go to Ogden for Abi's baby blessing. Here's her hair as she headed to bed:
 And the next morning:
(Disclaimer: I did do some minor touchups)

Here's another hairstyle we tried in March:

Michael reads and reads and creates amazing things with Legos. He finally hit his groove in the A.L.L (Advanced Learning Lab) Program, and, as mentioned, we were amazed by his singing voice at his school play.
He's an amazing big brother and is constantly scheming up things to do with his siblings. He loves all things military, and has made several guns out of cardboard and tape.
He loves our dog, and unfortunately, she's usually gotten enough touching from Gabe, so by the time Michael gets home from school, she's over kids. Michael's learning how to be gentle to his dog, and he loves her so much!

Gabe is a busy, busy, busy guy.
And he was still crashing in the late afternoons in March.

This is one of Gabe's favorite spots in the house:
He loves to play with Gracie all day.
 He loves riding this trike

And riding his "Scoober" with Michael.

Gabe loves "whooped cream".
And he continues to do well with potty training.
We've all enjoyed having Ethan and McCallan living with us. The kids especially love the extra attention and when they toss them around the living room. Who needs a theme park when these two are around to launch you around?

The second Sunday in March, we headed to Ogden for Taryn's baby Abi's blessing. We got to see my grandparents, two of my sisters, and my parents.

A year or so ago, we were heading back from Idaho, and I hadn't stopped to say goodbye to my grandparents. Initially, I thought, "It's okay. I'll see them next time." But, I felt so strongly that we needed to turn back to go give them hugs. I worried that it would be the last time I'd see one of them. Thankfully, it wasn't, but since then, I make sure to take as many pictures as I can with them, and I never leave without giving them lots of hugs.

We tried to help Rachel earn her banana split party by getting her splits down. We'd stretch together at night, but we didn't quite get her there.
We hit 12000 miles on our van in March. We started with 15. Apparently, we drive a lot.

Brian finally got a big tool box/workbench combo. He was pretty excited.
We went to something at Lea's house and got to see Nana and Papa! We really need to try harder to do more things with them.
The weather was a little warmer, so we went for a walk.

 Sometimes, we're weird on walks.
 Sometimes we frolic on walks:
 But mostly, we walk.
Michael's school had a S.T.E.A.M. night, so we went. We made rubber band trampolines.

And other things like making cars and paper/straw airplanes. We also participated in this photobooth.
I hosted a get-together for some local photographers one night in March. I got flowers from Smiths and had fun arranging a bouquet:

We had fun practicing detail shots in less than ideal lighting.
We also made a trip to Mapleton to pick up this full-size bed that Kirt and Julie were getting rid of so that we could take it to my parents' house. Their house was almost done, and all those rooms needed furniture!

Don't worry, we put a jacket on Michael so he wouldn't be cold for the ride home ;)

We had a pretty good March, even if we did want to go back to Disneyland every day. But, we do love our everyday, boring lives as well.
