Halloween

On October 24, we went to Lea & Shayne's annual friends Halloween Party. Lea and Shayne had the coolest costumes: Robots in disquise.
I resurrected a dress I made for a Jane Austen party several years ago and we went as the Darcy's.
For Family Home Evening on October 26, we carved our pumpkins. We only got two this year, which was smart since then Brian and I only had to carve on each instead of two. Rachel even dived in and got the guts out, which kind of surprised me. She doesn't like her hands to be messy for very long.

We hosted our third annual Halloween Party on the 30th, and I didn't take a single picture. The night was a success, and we just love our neighborhood!

I convinced Rachel to be Anna from Frozen. She's really into Frozen, and at the time, really into Elsa. But she has the perfect hair color for Anna, so with a little persuasion:

Michael wanted to be Darth Vader again. Sweet, already had that costume from 3 years ago, and it was way too big for him then so it fit him just right this year:
I had a little too much fun doing Rachel's hair like Anna. This has caused a going-on-two-months of Disney Princess themed hair requests. But it's fun.
Since Michael is in Kindergarten, we got to see him in his first ever Halloween parade. We sat by Sam and Emmett. Emmett and Rachel are pretty good pals, and this was just too cute:

He practically ran past me, and I was lucky to get this shot of him.
On Saturday, Brian took the kids trick-or-treating and I handed out candy. Rachel only did one loop of our neighborhood before Brian dropped her off to me, then she helped me pass out candy, which was pretty cute. She carefully chose each piece to give each trick-or-treater, but I didn't hear any complaining, so that was nice. Who's going to protest what a cute little Anna gives you?

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!!
